Marco Polo is a contemporary musical performed on a 100 year old stage. It features Italian and southern Chinese music and singing, while retaining the beauty and attraction of traditional Taiwanese glove puppet theatre and its language. Innovative in content and presentation, its creation is a combined effort of Italian and Taiwanese composers, authors, musician, sculptors, singers and has received critical acclaim in the Netherlands.

 

Parting of the Newly Wedded is a contemporary adaptation of a drama based on a long poem of the same title by Du Fu of the Tang Dynasty, which tells of the sad story of a young newly wedded couple. Their joyful wedding scene is tragically interrupted by the kidnapping of the groom of the feuding tribe An innovative production with moving music blending traditional dances display and modern dance drama.

The variety show will open by the enigmatic Dragon Dance followed by breathtaking acts and awe inspiring balancing skill by professional acrobats from Hunan Province.
