Lai Shuang Yang, a shrewd, capable business woman with an enigmatic smile and cool exterior. She runs her small Ji Qing Street restaurant, while also keeping her nephew safe, her brother from drug addiction and, most importantly, trying to regain possession of the family home, which was lost during the Cultural Revolution. In fact, Shuang Yang will stop at nothing to retake the family estate.
